This new product from Soundsupports is ideal for high quality turntables and offers distinct advantages to improve the sound of your records. As most records are at least slightly warped the Pukkaweight uses gravity to clamp records flat to the turntable platter and also increases overall sound quality by draining internal resonances away from the stylus.

As an LP is played, the disc vibrates along with the music, so by placing the Pukkaweight over the turntable spindle it will flatten out warps whilst clamping the record to the platter therefore dispersing vibrations.

The Pukkaweight also cleverly incorporates a bullseye bubble level enabling you to level the turntable, the spindle hole in the base allows you to position  it exactly in the middle of the platter which is the only accurate place to check for level. A slightly off level platter can cause speed variations and problems with wow, flutter, channel imbalance and loss of detail and can damage your precious records and stylus altogether. The level is accurate to within 1 degree.

The Pukkaweight is beautifully manufactured from a solid stainless steel billet to the strictest of tolerances, its finished weight is 500 grams (approx 1.1 pounds). It incorporates a finger and thumb grip to enable easy and safe handling of this heavy item and the surface is immaculately finished. The Pukkaweight has a top quality bubble level insert and the base is dressed with damping material to protect your valuable vinyl.
